| HUERTOS
EDEN is an ecological safe agricultural project for the production
and commerce of Natural Herbs, implemented by the Indigenous Development
Center, CEDEIN, with the support of the Ecuadorian
- Canadian Development Fund, FECD.
 The
project benefits directly over 600 families from 46 different indigenous
communities from the Province of Chimborazo, in the Central Andes
of Ecuador.
The project's technical staff supports these families trough out
the whole process, which includes environmentally safe agricultural
production, technical assistance, education, training and post harvest
handling. At the same time, the project promotes a sustainable handling
of crops, animals as well as organization issues and others needed
for their development.
All our procedures and actions are done under nature friendly concepts.
At present  all
the production fields are at a final stage of obtaining an Ecological
 Certification
from the German, BCS öko-garantie label according to the most
demanding standards. This certification process will be achieved
in a very short term.
For all our post harvest handling we have an up to date Processing
Plant which, as is also done in the agricultural part, works with
the highest quality standards, allowing us to offer, in all our
presentations, clean and healthy products that keep the characteristics
given to them by nature.
